Girls Wearing Black 2 Will Be Released in September

Despite my best efforts, Girls Wearing Black 2 will not be ready for publication by end of August as I was aiming. Book 2 is quite a bit longer than Book 1 and with longer books, everything from beta-reads to rewrites to edits all takes longer. Look for Book 2 in September and keep checking here for updates!

    Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm! Since the book is not with a major publisher, there is no official release date. Cover design is happening now as are final edits. Once those are done, I will upload the book to the major retailers (aiming for late next week) . From there, things get out of my control. Amazon is usually for sale within a few days of the book being uploaded. Barnes & Noble and iTunes take longer, ranging from a few days to a few weeks for the book to go live once it’s uploaded.

    Book 1 was one of the VERY BEST vampire books I have ever read.
    Excellant writing. Keep up the amazing work! Looking forward to book 2!

The Author

For more than 15 years Spencer Baum wrote blistering pageturners with sci fi and horror elements.

His first novel was used as a textbook in a Harvard classroom and was optioned for a movie by Brand New Productions in Hollywood. His second novel was an Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Semifinalist. His Girls Wearing Black novels have been fantasy and suspense bestsellers on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.

Though he was able to make a living from his books during the early years of the digital publishing revolution, the changing nature of that marketplace meant that he had to rejoin the real world in 2019 following publication of his final novel, The Tetradome Run. He now works full-time and writes very little. This web site remains up for those who have recently discovered his books.

He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife and three children.
