We’re Getting There

I expect to be able to announce a release date for Book 4 in a week or two. For all of you new readers who joined me after eReader News Today picked me up, please see this post for a description of my process and why book 4 is taking so long.

After the release date is official, we’ll start with the title and cover reveals and all the other fun stuff that comes with a new book.

    Ah, he emerges from the weeds! Was it due to liberal use of Round-Up, or a weed-whacker? The world may never know! (Awaiting a new Jill fix eagerly!)

    The weed whacker, Betsy! No doubt it’s the weed whacker! I’ve spent months attacking the problems one at a time, certain I’d never get ahead of them, but a few days ago I looked around and saw that the big ones had all been chopped down to size, and finally, there is a novel here!

    I can’t wait to give you your fix!

    Hey Spencer! I just wanted to let you know I’m reading One Fall and this is the only book that has ever made me wanna read! ill be at school thinking about what will happen next with Joey and Jade! I LOVE THIS BOOK! I usually hate reading! I hope you write more books about wrestling! I would buy in a heart beat! THANK YOU!

    just finished the third book in the girls wearing black series….cannot wait for the next one!! each one has been better than the one before….don’t even want to think about this series ending!!

    Miranda: Just announced the release date in the newest blog post. Thanks for your patience!
    Jordan: I love hearing from readers who dug One Fall, which is a special book to me because it was my first. At present I don’t have any plans to write another wrestling novel. I simply don’t think I could top One Fall. But I do have plans for a future novel that will appeal to One Fall readers, even if it isn’t about wrestling.
    Jackie: I love to hear when people think the books are getting better and better. Thank you!

The Author

For more than 15 years Spencer Baum wrote blistering pageturners with sci fi and horror elements.

His first novel was used as a textbook in a Harvard classroom and was optioned for a movie by Brand New Productions in Hollywood. His second novel was an Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Semifinalist. His Girls Wearing Black novels have been fantasy and suspense bestsellers on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.

Though he was able to make a living from his books during the early years of the digital publishing revolution, the changing nature of that marketplace meant that he had to rejoin the real world in 2019 following publication of his final novel, The Tetradome Run. He now works full-time and writes very little. This web site remains up for those who have recently discovered his books.

He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife and three children.
